Everest Global Services, Inc. seeks a Head of Everest Underwriting Partners to lead strategic direction for delegated authority programs across US North America.

You will drive profitable growth, steer underwriting strategy, and partner with MGAs, MGUs, brokers, and actuarial teams to deliver performance and scale. You will oversee governance, risk, and compliance while driving operational excellence and leadership development across a high-caliber team in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in P&C Insurance in North America.
• 15+ years of experience in delegated authority distribution channel.
• In-depth knowledge of core P&C Insurance products (property, casualty, liability, specialty).
• Extensive experience managing and driving the P&L for an Insurance business.
• Proven ability to develop and manage Sales and Distribution channels amidst changing markets.
• Extensive experience engaging with Program Administrators, MGAs and MGUs.
• Ability to strategize across multiple lines and disciplines, driving growth and efficiency.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills to foster high performance.
• Sound understanding of US insurance market and cross-regional scalability.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills with collaboration across teams.
• Experience organizing and delivering results through cross-functional teamwork.
• Oversee development and management of underwriting strategy aligned with Everest Insurance plan.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of time.

Responsibilities

• Establish and execute the strategic vision for Everest Underwriting Partners.
• Drive profitable growth through disciplined portfolio management and capital deployment.
• Lead annual and multi-year business plans with production, retention, profitability goals.
• Identify market opportunities and distribution trends for delegated authority expansion.
• Serve as a key member of the Wholesale & Specialty leadership team and drive enterprise planning.
• Define underwriting strategy, risk appetite, portfolio objectives, and growth priorities across Programs.
• Ensure underwriting discipline and governance across programs and delegated authorities.
• Evaluate new program opportunities, including leadership teams, capabilities, and financials.
• Collaborate with actuarial, reinsurance, and underwriting leadership on performance and risks.
• Decide on program expansions, restructurings, or terminations based on performance.
• Lead executive sponsorship for strategic delegated authority relationships.
• Develop and execute partnership strategies to enhance distribution and growth.
• Negotiate program agreements and binding authority frameworks.
• Maintain relationships with senior executives across MGA/MGU/Program Admin and brokers.
• Represent Everest as a market leader in delegated authority communities.
• Maintain accountability for profitability, growth, and return on capital.
• Establish KPIs for underwriting, operations, and finance.
• Oversee portfolio analytics, catastrophe exposure, and reporting.
• Present portfolio results to executives and stakeholders.
• Drive data quality and transparency across the portfolio.
• Establish governance for delegated underwriting relationships.
• Oversee audits, reviews, and compliance.
• Ensure regulatory and internal governance adherence.
• Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit.
• Oversee bordereaux, controls, and performance standards.
• Partner with Operations and Technology to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Drive innovation via data analytics and tech-enabled underwriting.
• Improve workflows and reporting; support modernization initiatives.
• Ensure underwriting quality and partner experience improvements.
• Lead and develop a diverse, high-performing team.
• Collaborate with Everest leaders for enterprise alignment.
• Promote One Everest values to maximize customer value.
