• 15–20+ years of underwriting experience across home office and field.
• Strong knowledge of surety products and markets.
• Proven track record leading high‑performing cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to align strategy with day‑to‑day operations to hit business objectives.
• Willingness to travel across North America up to 35%.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction and execute actions that maximize underwriting results.
• Partner with stakeholders to achieve business unit goals and profitable growth.
• Lead ongoing management of the group to optimize resources.
• Evaluate performance, renewals, opportunities, trends, and ceded reinsurance.
• Represent the organization with customers, agents, and brokers.
• Ensure underwriting products and guidelines comply with regulatory requirements.
• Promote underwriting discipline and market execution for growth.
