Qualifications

• 15–20+ years of insurance underwriting experience with surety products.
• Experience leading high‑performing cross‑functional teams.
• Talent development, mentoring, coaching and performance management.
• Ability to align strategy with day‑to‑day operations to meet objectives.
• Travel across North America up to 35%.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction to maximize underwriting results and competitive positioning.
• Partner with stakeholders to achieve business unit goals and growth.
• Lead management of the group and optimize resources.
• Evaluate performance, renewals, opportunities, trends, ceded reinsurance, and markets.
• Represent the organization to customers, agents, and brokers.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for underwriting practices.
• Promote underwriting discipline and effective marketing execution.
