• Ability to align underwriting strategy with day-to-day operations to hit business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction to maximize product-line underwriting results and competitive positioning.
• Partner with stakeholders to achieve business unit goals and support profitable growth.
• Lead management of the group to meet underwriting and line-of-business goals while optimizing resources.
• Evaluate performance, renewals, new business opportunities, actuarial trends, and ceded reinsurance.
• Represent the organization with customers, agents, and brokers in the marketplace.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and underwriting guidelines.
• Promote underwriting discipline, product application, and market execution.
