Job summary

NYC Department of Social Services is seeking a Chief Planning, Data Analytics, and New Initiatives Officer who will serve as a senior strategic advisor to the Commissioner. The role leads enterprise planning, data analytics, and the development of innovative programs to improve outcomes for New Yorkers facing poverty and related challenges.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree and five years of progressively responsible experience, including managerial level in a large governmental agency.
Experience overseeing strategy, analytics, policy, operations, and program development.
Experience using data and technology to redesign public services or improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

Serve as a senior executive and strategic advisor to the Commissioner of DSS.
Lead enterprise-wide planning framework across DSS, HRA, and DHS.
Oversee data analytics, dashboards, and performance measures for outcomes.
Identify trends and opportunities to improve services for New Yorkers in poverty and vulnerability.
Coordinate across executive offices to align major initiatives with agency goals.
