Job summary

STR is seeking a Chief Strategist to shape a cohesive strategy for technical execution, pursuits, customer relationships, and accounts across the company. The role covers space-based sensing, RF/EO-IR systems, and related autonomy programs, with emphasis on DoW/IC engagements and high-impact proposals.

Qualifications

• Experience with DoW or IC on space sensing and counter-sensing tech.
• Entrepreneurial spirit for technical marketing and business development.
• Proven track record in writing and winning technical proposals.
• 15+ years of relevant experience in military and/or intelligence communities.
• Experience leading technical teams on advanced R&D programs (Air Force, Navy, Army, DARPA and IC).
• Experience developing innovative sensing solutions with space-based, airborne and terrestrial sensors and multi-domain architectures.
• Motivated collaborator and effective communicator to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Active TS clearance and SCI eligibility; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Technical marketing to existing and potential customers
• Technical proposal development (idea generation, writing, reviewing)
• Creating innovative solutions to sensing/counter-sensing and C2 problems
• Leading teams to design, develop, implement, test and analyze solutions to national security problems
• Serving as primary technical point of contact for specific customers and offices
• Travel to various STR and customer locations
