We have an exciting opportunity at our Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic in one of the most illustrious cities in the nation. We are looking for a Chief Sonographer to join our team at Pediatrix Medical Group. This position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus. This is a newer Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic within an established practice, and team members will play a vital role in creating an engaging work environment and delivering high-quality patient care.

At Pediatrix, we are dedicated to providing high-risk expectant mothers and their babies with exceptional care. Our maternal-fetal medicine specialists are highly educated, experienced, and compassionate, ensuring comprehensive care throughout pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum.

Responsibilities

• Explain exams to patients and families to ensure cooperation and optimal results.
• Acquire anatomical, pathological, and physiological data via ultrasound.
• Record and process sonographic data and observations.
• Prepare preliminary reports for physician review.
• Assist physicians with procedures like amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
• Recognize equipment malfunctions and take corrective actions.
• Maintain adequate inventory of ultrasound supplies.
• Follow protocols for obtaining 2D images, color flow, Doppler, and m-mode imaging.
• Rotate as needed to cover absences of other sonographers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent.
• Certification as an ARDMS in OB/GYN.
• Evidence of ongoing continuing education credits.
• CPR certification.

Experience

• Minimum five years of ultrasound experience in an MFM setting.
• Supervisory and training experience required.
• Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment.
• Ability to respond calmly in emergencies.
