Job summary

Verily Health is seeking a passionate and experienced leader for a centralized Security Organization to oversee security engineering, information security, and governance, risk, and compliance for healthcare software products and platforms.

You will build and mentor a 20-person team, set the strategy, and collaborate across Engineering, Product, Regulatory, IT, Legal, and Finance to advance secure, privacy-preserving solutions.

Qualifications

• 8 years leading security engineering or information security teams.
• 10 years of software/security experience with relevant tools.
• 5 years in cloud and enterprise security including pre-/post-sales engagements with customers.
• Proven ability to align security with software engineering.
• Direct experience with governance, risk, and compliance frameworks including ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
• Direct experience with Okta, CrowdStrike, Wiz, Synk, and hyperscaler platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define Verily’s security strategy and roadmap for external products and internal systems.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a 20-person security team.
• Scale AI-driven security tools and automation with engineering for security and privacy.
• Collaborate with Verily Leadership across Engineering, Product, Clinical, Regulatory and Quality, IT, Legal, Finance, and Commercial teams.
• Take on an external-facing role with customers and security organizations.
