Job summary

STR seeks a Chief Scientist to shape strategy and provide technical oversight across sensing and counter-sensing programs, especially in RF technologies, electromagnetics and antenna development. The role will lead customer engagements with the DoD/IC, build a multi-site team, and oversee marketing, proposals, recruiting and program execution.

The position offers high impact on national security and requires a TS clearance, with travel to STR and customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with the DoD or Intelligence Community on sensor and signal processing tech.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with interest in technical marketing and business development.
• Proven track record in writing and winning technical proposals.
• 15+ years in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical marketing to customers and prospects.
• Develop and review technical proposals and concepts.
• Create innovative sensing/counter-sensing solutions.
• Lead teams to design, develop, test and analyze national security solutions.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact for customers and offices.
• Travel to STR and customer locations.
