Job summary

STR seeks a Principal Scientist to steer sensing and counter-sensing programs, shaping strategy and providing technical oversight across RF technologies and antenna development. The role includes leading customer engagements with DoD/IC and driving proposals, staffing, and program execution.

The candidate should have a strong background in signal processing, RF systems, and electromagnetics, with a proven ability to communicate across technical and non-technical audiences and to mentor teams.

Qualifications

• Experience working with the DoD or Intelligence Community on sensor/ signal processing tech.
• Proven track record in leading technical proposals and customer engagements.
• Active TS-level security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and oversight across sensing and counter-sensing programs.
• Lead technical marketing and proposal development efforts.
• Build and mentor a multi-site engineering team.
• Serve as primary technical contact for customers and offices.
• Travel to STR and customer locations.
