GVW Group seeks a senior leader to build and lead its enterprise risk capability across the group and portfolio companies. This Chief Risk Officer role sits at the intersection of business decisions, insurance strategy, and technology risk, enabling growth while ensuring risks are understood, structured, and actively managed across operations, investments, and technology.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in risk, operations, or leadership roles with exposure to governance and decision frameworks
• Experience in technology or cyber risk and insurance/risk transfer
• Background in industrial, manufacturing, logistics, energy, or asset-heavy environments or equivalent financial services with operating/build experience

Responsibilities

• Governance & Decision Framework: define decision rights, thresholds, and delegation of authority
• Technology, Cyber & AI Risk: oversee cybersecurity, data, and emerging tech risk
• Insurance & Risk Transfer: own enterprise insurance strategy and coverage design
• Enterprise Risk & Decision Support: implement a practical risk framework aligned to the operating model
• Operational & Business Risk: identify and prioritize risks across portfolio companies and establish governance
