Job summary

New Jersey Community Capital (NJCC) seeks a Managing Director of Resource Development & Communications to lead fundraising, capitalization, and external relations. You will shape multi-year strategies, manage a portfolio of major funders, and drive revenue growth in partnership with the CEO and CFO.

The role requires an established network, a track record of securing gifts and investments, and ability to translate impact data into compelling narratives for funders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in resource development or fundraising with management experience.
• Proven track record of securing gifts, grants, or capital investments.
• Strong network with foundations, donors, banks, and impact investors.
• Experience overseeing fundraising pipelines and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising and capitalization efforts, setting annual revenue goals and multi-year plans.
• Cultivate and steward major funders, including foundations, individuals, and government funders.
• Schedule and lead funder meetings, build a strong prospect pipeline.
• Identify new capital opportunities aligned with NJCC programs.
• Develop and manage grant proposals and funder communications.
• Oversee grant fulfillment and donor reporting; manage donor campaigns.
• Represent NJCC at conferences and funder events; manage communications strategy.
