Job summary

New Jersey Community Capital's CAPC unit seeks a Managing Director of Real Estate to lead the CAPC real estate team and oversee asset management, development, and lending activities while advancing mission-driven strategies for affordable housing.

You will guide acquisition, rehabilitation, and disposition, supervise construction loan administration, and partner with lenders, funders and public agencies to strengthen CAPC's portfolio and community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees preferred.
• 7–10+ years in affordable housing and real estate development.
• 3+ years in senior management or leadership roles.
• Experience with LIHTC, NMTC, HUD, and related subsidy programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAPC’s real estate team and portfolio strategy.
• Oversee acquisition, development, rehabilitation and disposition of properties.
• Direct construction loan administration and budget oversight.
• Ensure compliance, risk management, and reporting to Boards.
• Cultivate partnerships with lenders, funders and public agencies.
• Drive mission impact and financial performance of assets.
