New Jersey Community Capital (CAPC) seeks a Managing Director of Real Estate to lead CAPC’s real estate activities and social enterprises. You will oversee asset management, development, property management, construction management, and down payment assistance, while coordinating with NJCC’s lending and risk teams.

The role requires strategic leadership, fundraising, and strong financial acumen to drive mission impact and financial performance across CAPC’s portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, master’s in real estate, urban planning, public administration or a related field, or a law degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in affordable housing and real estate development with senior management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a vertically integrated real estate business and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Experience overseeing property management operations, LIHTC/HUD compliance, and portfolio performance.
• Strong leadership, communication and financial analysis skills with attention to mission impact.

Responsabilités

• Lead CAPC real estate team and development of annual plans and budgets.
• Oversee acquisition, development, asset management and disposition activities.
• Direct construction loan administration and construction management functions.
• Ensure compliance with housing regulations and funder requirements across CAPC/NJCC.
• Manage fundraising and external relations to grow capital for projects.
• Provide financial oversight, reporting and risk management for the portfolio.
