Job summary

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is seeking a Head of Product Strategy & Portfolio to lead SHRM's portfolio strategy, governance, and incubation efforts. You will drive cross-functional collaboration, set investment priorities, and provide executives with data-informed recommendations to grow and sustain customer value.

The role oversees SHRM Labs and the WorkplaceTech Accelerator, guiding strategy, partnerships, and performance across multiple products and services.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of progressive experience in product management, strategy, or portfolio management.
• Experience leading a complex, multi-product organization with matrixed decision-making.
• Experience developing, presenting portfolio strategies, investments, and business cases to senior leaders.
• Experience in subscription/platform/workplace technology environments is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, product management, strategy, marketing, technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and evolution of SHRM’s product portfolio strategy aligned with priorities and market opportunities.
• Translate priorities into actionable product strategies, portfolio priorities, and investment recommendations.
• Oversee portfolio governance, prioritization, and performance criteria for financial and customer value.
• Provide data-informed recommendations regarding investments, risks, and trade-offs to senior leadership.
• Oversee SHRM Labs WorkplaceTech Accelerator strategy, priorities, and partnerships.
• Lead and develop teams across Product Strategy & Portfolio and SHRM Labs.
