Job summary

Quincy Compressor LLC seeks a VP of Purchasing to lead the purchasing strategy and organization, building a competitive, reliable supply base. You will partner with business leaders to align procurement with growth goals while improving cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.

You will head Sourcing, Production Buyers, and Supplier Quality Assurance, driving talent development and cross-functional collaboration to optimize cost and performance across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years in procurement, senior buying, or supply chain roles in manufacturing.
• Proven leadership in developing teams and managing cross-functional procurement activities.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and related initiatives.
• Certifications such as CPM or CPIM are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Purchasing department including Sourcing, Production Buyers, Purchasing Agents, and Supplier Quality Assurance.
• Drive recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance development for a high-performing procurement team.
• Formulate and implement purchasing strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Assess and improve supplier base using financial, technical, quality, and logistics criteria.
• Strengthen supply chain to optimize quality, lead times, costs, and logistics.
• Lead supplier negotiations, manage contracts and SLAs to secure favorable terms.
• Establish purchasing protocols ensuring fair bidding and policy compliance.
• Engage Purchasing early in product development to optimize costs and supplier innovations.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Production to improve material flow and efficiency.
• Oversee procurement projects and drive continuous process improvement.
