Job summary

Harvey Hohauser & Associates is partnering with a family-owned group of manufacturing businesses to recruit a strategic, hands-on Vice President of Purchasing. This executive will lead purchasing across multiple plants, combining enterprise thinking with close plant and supplier engagement to reduce total cost, improve quality and delivery, and strengthen supplier relationships.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the VP will build a disciplined, forward-looking purchasing

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive purchasing experience with significant leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading purchasing within a complex, multi-site manufacturing environment; automotive or engineered products preferred.
• Broad expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, negotiations, contract analysis and supplier performance management.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality-management principles.

• Lead purchasing across multiple businesses and plants, balancing enterprise goals with plant-level needs.
• Drive cost reduction, supplier performance, quality, and on-time delivery improvements across the network.
