Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. seeks a General Manager - Preconstruction to provide strategic leadership across the preconstruction organization and project pursuits.

You will set standards, drive consistency, and manage resources to enable successful launches for major power delivery projects. You will collaborate with operations, estimators, engineering, procurement, and executive leadership to align strategies with financial objectives, while ensuring safety and quality throughout the bid-to-execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in estimating, preconstruction, operations, or power delivery construction.
• Experience leading large, complex pursuits and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, risk management, and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for preconstruction and project pursuit activities across the portfolio.
• Develop and implement preconstruction standards and processes for consistency and readiness.
• Oversee constructability reviews, budgeting, risk assessment, and proposal development.
• Lead bid reviews and pursuit strategies aligned with commercial and operational goals.
• Manage staffing, resources, and development within the preconstruction organization.
• Support strategic growth initiatives and customer relationships.
