Job summary

Fluence is seeking a Vice President, Power and Systems, based in Houston, to lead the global direct materials strategy across power conversion, electrical systems, systems integration, and balance of plant portfolios. The role oversees a multi-billion-dollar spend and is accountable for cost leadership, supply continuity, and quality as the portfolio scales.

Qualifications

15-20+ years in direct materials, category management, strategic sourcing, or supply chain leadership.
Ownership of at least $500M in annual direct materials spend with accountability for COGS and gross margin outcomes.
Experience scaling a portfolio and organization through rapid growth; executive partnership with CFO/CPO.
Proven ability to lead complex multi-year cost reduction programs and strategic supplier negotiations.

Responsibilities

Design and scale the direct materials organization to carry the portfolio to >$5B annual spend.
Own org design, headcount planning, and the build, buy, or develop decisions for each seat.
Lead major supplier negotiations including master and long-term agreements.
Partner with CFO, CPO, and executive leadership; drive governance, risk, and product lifecycle decisions.
