Job summary

Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) is seeking a Senior Vice President of Philanthropy in Washington, DC, with hybrid work options. You will lead OFN’s philanthropic partnerships, sponsorships, and donor stewardship, building systems to secure major institutional investments while expanding the organization’s fundraising infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive fundraising or philanthropic leadership experience.
  • Proven success securing seven- and eight-figure gifts.
  • Experience managing complex relationships across foundations, corporations, and major donors.
  • Proven ability to build new funding pipelines and steward existing partners.
  • Leadership experience developing high-performing philanthropy teams.
  • Familiarity with family offices, donor-advised funds, planned giving.
  • Knowledge of impact investing or blended capital is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop philanthropy and partnership strategy to support OFN’s strategic plan and capitalization goals.
  • Build and manage a diversified portfolio of philanthropic partnerships across foundations, corporate philanthropy, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Lead identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of seven- and eight-figure gifts.
  • Develop innovative philanthropic capital opportunities including planned and legacy giving and blended capital structures.
  • Provide strategic leadership for OFN’s Philanthropy and Sponsorships team across institutional philanthropy and donor stewardship.
  • Oversee national conference sponsorship program and strengthen corporate and institutional partnerships.
  • Collaborate with SVP and Executive Leadership to align strategies across capital markets and philanthropy.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing philanthropy team with clear goals and metrics.
  • Analyze philanthropic market trends and opportunities for short- and long-term partnerships.
  • Work with Investment Services to develop capital products and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Represent OFN with funders and external stakeholders; contribute to organizational strategy.
