Job summary
Walmart seeks a Group Director, People Strategy to lead the Strategy & PMO team for Global Tech & Product in Bentonville, AR. This senior leader translates priorities into talent, workforce, and execution strategies, driving transformation, location strategy, AI evolution, and scalable talent systems to improve decisions and accountability.
The role partners with People Partners, COEs, and business leaders to shape future roles, accelerate priorities, and strengthen internal talent pipelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, communications, journalism, business, or related field and 7 years’ experience in human resources, communication, journalism, business, or related area OR 9 years’ experience in human resources, communications, business, or related area.
- 3 years’ supervisory experience.
- Experience in strategy, transformation, and talent systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead integrated people strategies aligned to Global Tech & Product priorities, transformation, and growth.
- Shape future workforce strategies across org design, location, AI, roles, and capabilities.
- Build scalable talent systems that strengthen mobility, succession, development, and critical-role readiness.
- Turn workforce data into actionable insights and informed talent decisions.
- Drive operating rhythms, governance, and planning to strengthen alignment and execution.
- Advise and connect People Partners, COEs, business leaders, and stakeholders on complex initiatives.
