Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Chief of Staff to the Chief Science Officer, a strategic partner guiding the Science Leadership Team across product, engineering, commercial, finance, and operations. The role translates science vision into actionable priorities with strong execution and cross-functional leadership.

The ideal candidate combines scientific depth with organization and strategic thinking, capable of independently designing solutions and leading through influence in a matrixed organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industry experience in life sciences, healthcare, or related field.
• Experience in roles requiring scientific judgment, strategic problem-solving, and leadership of complex initiatives across scientific, technical, commercial, and operations functions.

Responsibilities

• Define and translate Science Team priorities into actionable plans, milestones, ownership, and metrics.
• Co-lead with CSO and Science Leadership Team to set annual and quarterly priorities.
• Manage Science Leadership Team operations, agendas, decisions, and follow-through.
• Coordinate with Finance and Commercial on pipeline forecasts, capacity modeling, and resources.
• Prepare leadership-level updates, governance materials, and strategic narratives for senior stakeholders.
