Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Chief of Staff to the CSO to act as a strategic and operations partner. You will help translate the Science Team vision into clear priorities, coordinating with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance and Operations to drive impact.

This role requires 7+ years in life sciences, with strong leadership, executive communication, and ability to manage complex initiatives. An MPH or MBA or advanced degree is a plus, with experience bridging scientific delivery and commercial

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industry experience in life sciences, healthcare, or related field
• Experience in roles requiring scientific judgment, strategic problem-solving, and leadership of complex initiatives across scientific, technical, commercial, and operations functions
• Strong executive communication skills, including presenting, decision documents, and narratives for senior audiences

Responsibilities

• Science Team strategy and priority setting with CSO and Science Leadership Team
• Translate priorities into clear plans, milestones, ownership and success measures
• Lead or participate in executive meetings, agendas, decisions and action tracking
• Coordinate with Finance and Commercial leaders on pipeline forecasting and capacity planning
• Develop an integrated view of services delivery, product science support, and client outcomes
• Support tracking of time, studies and publications; lead change initiatives in Science organization
• Prepare presentations and business updates for leadership and clients; represent CSO in internal meetings
