Datavant is seeking a Chief of Staff to the Chief Science Officer, acting as a strategic partner across Science, Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and Operations. The role translates the Science Team vision into actionable priorities and programs with measurable impact on Datavant’s Life Sciences business.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of industry experience in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.
• Experience in roles requiring scientific judgment, strategic problem-solving, and leadership of complex initiatives across scientific, technical, commercial, and operations functions

Responsibilities

• Science Team strategy and priority setting.
• Define annual and quarterly priorities with CSO and Science Leadership Team.
• Translate priorities into clear plans, milestones, ownership, and measures of success.
• Lead Science Leadership Team and manage its operations and communications.
• Propose services delivery resourcing for Leadership Team confirmation.
• Raise cross-functional risks, dependencies, and decisions requiring leadership attention.
• Coordinate with Finance and Commercial on pipeline forecasts and capacity planning.
• Support Science Team budget management and major meetings.
• Prepare presentations and decision documents for the CSO; represent CSO in select meetings.
