Job summary

Lenovo seeks a Chief of Staff, AI Engineering to partner with the Executive Director of AI Engineering, driving strategy and operational excellence across the Qira AI organization.

You will lead cross-functional programs spanning AI research, platform engineering, product development, and infrastructure, building scalable operating models and dashboards for executive reviews while managing budgeting and vendor decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience leading large scale software engineering programs or technical programs.
• Experience supporting senior engineering executives (CTOs/VPs).
• Proven track record delivering complex software platforms across multiple engineering orgs.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, AI technologies, and modern software practices.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience managing globally distributed engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute the strategic vision for Lenovo's global Qira AI organization.
• Lead complex engineering initiatives across AI research, platform engineering, product development, and infrastructure.
• Align functions across engineering, product, design, research, security, legal, and leadership.
• Establish and improve planning, governance, dashboards, metrics.
• Improve execution quality, productivity, delivery predictability, and effectiveness.
• Govern programs across multiple global teams.
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, dependencies, and drive rapid resolution.
• Develop executive presentations and strategic planning documents.
• Support budgeting, workforce planning, vendor management, and strategic investments.
• Drive adoption of engineering best practices and AI governance.
• Represent AI Engineering in executive reviews and cross-functional forums.
• Build scalable processes to grow rapidly while maintaining execution excellence.
