Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN/MSN preferred.
• Valid RN license in the state employed.
• 3–5 years of successful DON or equivalent experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing structure supports clinical and administrative standards to meet the facility's mission.
• Oversee staffing based on census, acuity and budget; ensure recruitment and retention plans.
• Lead nursing team to achieve quality outcomes and compliance with regulations.
• Participate in budget discussions and quality improvement processes; drive person-centered care.
• Collaborate with Medical Director, physicians, and other departments; promote open communication.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and advocate for residents’ rights; oversee training and competency.
