Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho seeks a Chief Nursing Officer to lead clinical and administrative functions across the medical center. The CNO will guide strategic planning, staffing, and quality initiatives as a member of the Regional Health Ministry senior team.

Qualifications

State RN license required.
Master's in Nursing required; nursing degree must be in nursing.
Doctoral degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years executive/director nursing leadership in acute care.
Certification in nursing leadership within 18 months of hire.
Active professional nursing organization membership.
Strong EMR and health informatics knowledge.
Deep understanding of healthcare laws and regulations.
Knowledge of system thinking and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical and admin leadership for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating patient care.
Develop and implement nursing mission, vision, goals, standards of care and operating plans.
Collaborate on operating and capital budgets with senior leadership.
Create measures for performance, budget, and productivity targets.
Plan staffing to ensure safe, high-quality care; recruit and develop staff.
Promote shared leadership and decision-making across teams.
Evaluate and integrate health IT to support patient care.
Lead evidence-based programs to improve safety and quality.
Ensure compliance with licensing, regulatory, and accreditation bodies.
Communicate progress and concerns with senior leaders, medical staff, and board.
