Job summary

Cascadia Healthcare Lewiston seeks a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to lead the nursing department, aligning clinical operations with the facility’s mission to provide person-centered care and the highest practicable outcomes for residents.

The CNO ensures adherence to evidence-based practice, regulatory standards, and staff development while partnering with the CEO and medical directors to drive quality, safety, and effective transitions of care.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of employment.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN/MSN preferred.
• 3–5 years of director-level nursing/long-term care experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical and administrative operations of the nursing department.
• Ensure high-quality, person-centered care and resident well-being.
• Promote evidence-based practice and ongoing education among staff.
• Collaborate with CEO and health care team to meet regulatory standards.
• Lead budgeting, staffing, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and resident rights protection.
• Drive quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Participate in staff recruitment and retention strategies.
