Job summary

Reliant Management seeks a dynamic Director of Nursing to lead our clinical team and ensure exceptional care for residents. This role directs the Nursing Service Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.

You will interview, hire, train, and supervise staff, coordinate care plans, assess residents before admission, and manage staffing to meet direct care needs while maintaining 24-hour nursing availability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted RN license in California.
• 2 years of DON experience in a California Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
• Must be able to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
• Coordinate care and services to improve plans of care and residents' quality of life.
• Ensure proper assessment of prospective residents prior to admission, including home or hospital visits.
• Develop staffing plans to ensure sufficient direct care staffing and compliance.
• Ensure 24-hour nursing administration coverage or designate a qualified substitute.
• Audit clinical records for accuracy and complete resident assessments across shifts.
• Conduct quality assessment and assurance activities and regulatory rounds.
• Lead interdisciplinary conferences to develop adequate plans of care.
• Establish and maintain policies, CQI programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Provide administrative and technical supervision of nursing, admissions and continuing care functions.
• Establish performance goals and fiscal management.
