Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical, civil/structural, electrical, nuclear, or related engineering.
• PE license required; advanced technical certifications or graduate degree preferred.
• 25+ years of engineering experience in commercial nuclear power, design, analysis, licensing, modifications, or plant operations.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience managing large (100+) size engineering organizations, programs, or discipline teams.
• Experience in chief engineer, engineering director, or senior manager roles.
• Expertise across core engineering disciplines with cross-discipline knowledge.
• Strong NRC regulatory and QA program understanding.
• Experience leading multi-site engineering teams on large nuclear projects.
• Proven ability to influence technical strategy and mentor senior engineers.
• Strong communication and executive leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel 25-40% overnight.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for mechanical, structural, electrical, and fire protection teams.
• Lead engineering governance and reviews to support regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Engage with utilities, regulators, and industry groups to grow ENERCON's nuclear portfolio.
• Lead and develop a multi-location engineering team and foster professional growth.
• Collaborate with directors and operations to align standards and drive innovation.
