Job summary

WesBanco Bank, Inc. is seeking a SVP & Director of IT Governance - Cyber Security to lead the bank's IT GRC program remotely within the bank's footprint. This role oversees policy, risk assessments, and regulatory examinations across technology risk, cyber security, and third-party risk management.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in IT risk/Cyber/Regulatory domains, 3+ years in leadership, and relevant certifications. Remote work is primary with occasional in-person meetings.

Qualifications

• Strategic leadership of IT GRC program aligned to regulatory expectations.
• Executive communication to technical and non-technical audiences, including Board committees.
• Deep knowledge of banking technology regulations and control design.

Responsibilities

• Owns and matures the enterprise IT GRC program with policies, standards, procedures, and controls.
• Establishes policy hierarchy and maintenance cadence across IT risk domains.
• Leads IT governance council activities, including agenda-setting and tracking actions.
• Operates AI governance standards (NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001) and vendor risk oversight.
• Directs enterprise IT risk assessments across infrastructure, apps, data, cloud, and third parties.
• Maintains IT risk register with identification, scoring, ownership, and remediation workflows.
• Reports IT risk metrics and KRIs to senior leadership and the Board.
• Serves as primary IT GRC contact for regulatory examinations and internal/external audits.
• Keeps abreast of FFIEC, NIST, OCC, and privacy requirements and translates to controls.
• Manages third-party risk in TPRM and contract provisions related to security and data handling.
• Drives CCM and evidence collection using GRC tooling; oversees CSA activities across IT domains.
• Collaborates on cyber security control maturity assessments (CIS, NIST SP 800-53) and FFIEC CAT.
