Job summary

College of the Canyons seeks an Assistant Superintendent/Vice President, Instruction, to provide executive leadership for academic planning and teaching and learning. This role guides instructional operations to align with the college’s mission, priorities, and diverse student needs in the Santa Clarita area.

As a member of the Executive Cabinet, you will advance institutional priorities, oversee enrollment management, budgeting, and partnerships with external entities, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university (start date requirement).
• Five years of increasingly responsible administrative experience in higher education.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic vision and organizational support to instructional programs.
• Leads instructional planning and program development across transfer, career education and non-traditional programs.
• Collaborates with District constituent groups to develop partnerships with business, industry, government, and educational institutions.
• Strategically supports integrated planning and budgeting for instructional needs and facilities planning.
• Oversees enrollment management and directs instructional programming including class schedules and staffing.
• Maintains accreditation readiness and ensures compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
