Job summary

Davidson Heating & Air is seeking an experienced leader to oversee daily operations of our residential and commercial HVAC business across Lexington and Kannapolis, NC. The VP will manage service, installation, scheduling, quality, and customer experience while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of HVAC industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years as a residential and/or commercial HVAC service technician.
• Minimum 3 years managing both service technicians and installation teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple technicians simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of service and installation departments.
• Ensure technicians are dispatched efficiently based on skill level and assign the right technician to each job.
• Maintain productivity across all field teams and identify bottlenecks to drive improvements.
• Develop ongoing technical training programs and mentor technicians.
• Own the overall quality of service delivered and manage customer experience across interactions.
• Monitor installation quality, code compliance, and first-time fix rates.
• Coordinate scheduling with dispatch, ensuring maximum technician efficiency and on-time job completion.
• Partner with leadership on recruiting and building career paths for technicians.
