Job summary

Rainmaker Hospitality seeks an experienced facilities maintenance manager to oversee a wide range of maintenance tasks across hotel facilities. You will schedule daily work, lead a team, and develop preventive maintenance programs to keep equipment in top condition.

Responsibilities include responding to requests from staff and guests, supervising repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more, while maintaining records and reporting on maintenance activities and budget considerations.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Schedule daily work tasks.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure the hotel’s facilities and equipment are in optimal working condition.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify areas needing repair or maintenance.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests, addressing issues such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance problems in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and check chemical levels of the swimming pool and spa.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies, conducting safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
  • Assist in developing and managing the maintenance budget, ensuring cost‑effective practices.
  • Monitor expenses related to maintenance operations and control costs.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Order necessary materials and tools, maintaining relationships with vendors.
  • Stay up to date on training of best practices, safety procedures, and hotel policies.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance requests, repairs, and inventory.
  • Prepare reports on maintenance activities, budget expenditures, and staff performance for management.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Participate in departmental meetings to discuss facility needs and improvement opportunities.
  • Act as a key contact for emergency situations, coordinating quick and effective responses to facility-related emergencies.
  • Ensure that emergency protocols are established and staff is trained accordingly.
