Job summary

Barley Snyder seeks an experienced Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer to lead the firm’s marketing, business development, client development, and brand strategy initiatives across PA, MD, and beyond.

The CMBDO will report to the COO, partnering with the Management Committee and practice group leaders to drive growth, oversee pitches, client programs, and budgeting, and coach attorneys in business development and relationship management. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in law firm or professional services marketing/business development.
• Proven track record driving revenue growth through client development, pitches, and cross-selling.
• Excellent communication, project management, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute firmwide marketing and business development strategies.
• Oversee pitches, proposals, and RFP processes and client program initiatives.
• Coach attorneys on business development and client relationship management.
• Lead CRM strategy, pipeline analytics, budgeting, and performance reporting.
• Collaborate with leadership to align marketing efforts with revenue growth goals.
