Role Overview

We’re looking for a mission-driven CFO to join our founding executive team and help lead ZedScore through its next stage of growth. This is a high-impact, equity-based role—perfect for a strategic finance leader who wants to help build something meaningful and share in its long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Finance & Modeling: Own long-term financial planning, business modeling, and forecasting across multiple regions.
• Fundraising: Partner with the CEO to manage investor relationships, develop pitch materials, and lead capital raise processes (pre-seed to Series A+).
• Financial Operations: Establish and oversee budgeting, cash flow, accounting systems, and vendor payments globally.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to financial and legal compliance across jurisdictions (U.S., Africa, Asia).
• Revenue Strategy: Support pricing, revenue streams, and unit economics for our B2B SaaS and enterprise clients.
• Cap Table & Equity: Manage equity structuring, 409A valuations, and employee stock option plans.
• Team Leadership: Build a lean finance and operations function that supports growth at scale.

Who You Are

• 7–15 years of experience in financial leadership (startup, tech, or VC-backed companies).
• Expert in SaaS metrics, financial storytelling, and capital strategy.
• Confident managing cross-border finance and compliance (multi-currency, tax, and legal).
• Hands-on and scrappy—ready to build from zero while thinking long-term.
• Bonus: Prior experience as a founding team member or fractional CFO in early-stage startups.
• CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus but not required.

Compensation

This is an equity-based role with no initial cash salary.

You’ll receive a founding-level equity stake with long-term upside as we raise and grow. As funding milestones are met, compensation will evolve to include a competitive salary.
