As we enter a pivotal phase of growth, we seek a strategic and experienced CFO to join our executive team and drive our financial strategy forward.

Position Overview

The CFO will be instrumental in shaping and executing our financial strategy, ensuring robust financial health, and supporting our mission-driven goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial leadership within the diagnostics or healthcare sector, with proven experience in Series A or B fundraising and leading companies through successful exits or acquisitions. We value a hands-on leader who combines strategic vision with the willingness to engage in day-to-day financial operations.

This role is envisioned to start at 50% capacity, transitioning to full-time as the company scales and financial complexities increase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company's objectives. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support decision-making.
  • Fundraising & Investor Relations: Lead fundraising initiatives, engage with investors, and manage relationships to secure necessary capital for growth.
  • Financial Operations: Manage all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, reporting, compliance, and risk management. Ensure adherence to GAAP and other regulatory standards.
  • Exit/Acquisition Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to identify and evaluate exit or acquisition opportunities. Lead due diligence processes and negotiations to ensure favorable outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or equivalent role within the diagnostics or healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated success in raising Series A or B funding and leading companies through exits or acquisitions.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a track record of effective stakeholder engagement.
