FinStrat Management, Inc. is seeking a client-facing Chief Financial Officer to lead engagements for multiple SaaS clients and to scale financial operations. The role focuses on growth strategy, financial governance, and data-driven decision making across client portfolios.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of senior financial leadership in SaaS, with revenue recognition expertise, fundraising experience, and a proven ability to drive scalable processes and strong liquidity management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of financial experience with recent CFO/VP of Finance experience at a growing SaaS or software company.
• Solid understanding of software revenue recognition and SaaS metrics.
• Experience implementing scalable processes, procedures and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage FSM client engagements as a virtual Chief Financial Officer.
• Provide financial insight into growth strategy and major business decisions.
• Implement controls, policies and systems for data, budgeting, forecasting and closing.
• Analyze financial results, variances, trends and key metrics.
• Lead financial transactions including financing, acquisitions and partnerships.
• Collaborate with CRO and sales on contracts and processes.
• Oversee stock option, commissions and benefits plans for clients.
• Direct FSM staff on client engagements and ensure quality deliverables.

Job description

The Role FinStrat Management (“FSM”) is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a client-facing Chief Financial Officer. This is a great opportunity to build a team, implement best practices, and help scale both our company and our clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage FSM client engagements as a virtual Chief Financial Officer
• Provide insight and recommendations related to clients’ growth strategy, as well as input regarding the financial implications of major business decisions
• Implement controls, frameworks, policies and systems that capture and utilize timely and accurate data across clients’ business, as well as financial planning, budgets, forecasting and closing processes
• Analyze clients’ financial results with respect to profits, trends, cost and compliance with budgets
• Present and provide insight on financial results with a narrative on results, variances to plan, trends, and key metrics
• Provide leadership in the execution of financial transactions, including financing, acquisitions, facilities, and partnerships
• Manage cash utilization, and debt facilitates to maintain a strong foundation of liquidity for clients’ growth
• Collaborate with clients’ CRO and sales team on contracts and contract processes
• Serve as a liaison between clients and their outside legal counsel
• Oversee clients’ stock option, commission, and benefit plans
• Direct and support FSM staff assigned to client engagements
• Ensure deliverables meet FSM’s quality standard
• Provide five-star client service

Job Requirements

• ~10+ years of financial experience with recent experience as CFO or VP of Finance at a growing SaaS or software company
• ~ Solid understanding of software revenue recognition, SaaS metrics, and associated best practices
• ~ Success implementing and optimizing process, procedures, and infrastructure to enable scale and support growth (organic and inorganic)
• ~ Experience in leading fundraising efforts, ideally at a growth stage company
