Job summary

OnPoint Community Credit Union in Portland, Oregon, seeks a strategic VP, Risk to lead ERM, ORM, and MRM programs. This senior leader will develop and maintain a comprehensive risk framework aligned with the credit union's objectives, growth, complexity, and risk appetite.

You will ensure governance, reporting, challenge, and collaboration across the organization, partnering with executives to strengthen risk culture and regulatory alignment while guiding a dedicated risk team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.
• 12+ years in enterprise risk or related disciplines in financial services.
• 5+ years leadership experience managing risk programs.
• Experience developing ERM frameworks, governance, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead ERM, ORM, and MRM programs in alignment with objectives and risk appetite.
• Oversee risk strategy, governance processes, and enterprise risk initiatives.
• Oversee enterprise risk assessments and mitigation of strategic, operational, financial, tech, model risks.
• Direct RCSAs, issue management, loss reporting, control testing, and risk monitoring.
• Develop model governance activities including inventory, validation, and reporting.
• Create risk policies, standards, and reporting processes for governance.
• Monitor risk exposures, KRIs, and emerging risks; escalate as needed.
• Provide risk advisory to business leaders on exposures and new initiatives.
• Lead Risk Committee activities and prepare reporting for execs and Board.
• Mentor risk team and manage department goals, budgets, and performance.
