Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated Chief Engineer to lead the MALD program, overseeing in-service sustainment, program execution, and potential new contracts. You will coordinate across IPTs, interface with factories and customers, and provide technical direction to meet deliverables.

The role requires a Top Secret clearance, a STEM degree, and proven leadership in complex system architectures, with extensive experience in engineering management and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with system development and design, requirements development, management, verification, system integration and test, and production.
• Experience working on modular systems architectures and product lines.
• Experience as a technical leader who can develop work plans and drive execution.
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Experience managing resources with multi-million-dollar annual budgets.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across the IPT and other functions to meet and/or exceed cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
• Primary technical point of contact with senior customer counterparts, internal senior program management and engineering leadership.
• Influence and align internal and external customers on the technical capabilities, technical risks and common architecture needs.
• Support the capture of new business and influence technical and product line roadmaps, ensuring they are reflected in program planning and execution.
• Plan out and lead the incremental break-in of upgrades and system improvements.
• Drive positive change within the production environment as a key stakeholder in Failure Review Boards, FRACAS activities and other continuous improvement efforts.
• Technically engage with major subcontractors and partners to ensure product deliverables.
• Direct a team of multi-disciplined engineers in support of product development and production.
• Provide technical advisory disposition for Export / Import (EXIM) compliance.
