Job summary

CHOC is seeking a Supervisor Plant Operations/Chief Engineer to oversee the hospital's plant operations and maintenance, including high pressure steam, chilled water, and building automation controls.

The role requires leadership experience in a hospital facilities setting, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects while maintaining exceptional reliability and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of supervisory or lead experience.
• At least five (5) years related building maintenance with emphasis on maintenance, repair and semi-skilled craftsman of various building trades.
• Requires ability to read and interpret technical schematics, CAD drawings, blueprints and equipment manufacture information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall plant operations and maintenance, including high pressure steam generation and chilled water production.
• Manage building automation controls and related mechanical systems.
• Lead safety, quality, and regulatory compliance within facilities operations.
• Coordinate multiple projects and staff to meet deadlines and maintain reliability.
