The Chief Electrical Estimator will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, materials, and labor costs, along with strong leadership skills to manage a team of estimators and coordinate with other departments.

Responsibilities

1. Manage the estimating team and ensure accurate project bids.
2. Develop estimating strategies to optimize profitability.
3. Review project specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
4. Prepare detailed estimates, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.
5. Analyze cost data and market trends for competitive pricing.
6. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients.
7. Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
8. Improve estimating processes with software tools.
9. Mentor junior estimators.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8-10 years in electrical estimating (commercial / industrial).
• Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Software: Proficiency in Accubid, Bluebeam, Trimble, or similar.
• Skills: Strong leadership, analytical, and communication abilities.
