Job summary

LUMA Energy is seeking a Chief Digital & Technology Officer to lead the digital transformation across the utility, encompassing enterprise IT/OT, data strategy, and AI-powered innovation. This executive will drive a multi-year modernization roadmap, partner with field operations, and ensure secure, scalable technology platforms.

The CDTO will embed AI into customer experience, grid operations, and analytics while maintaining regulatory compliance and resilience in a critical 24/7 infrastructure

Qualifications

• 15+ years of executive leadership in technology and data strategy.
• Proven experience deploying and scaling AI/ML in complex operations.
• Deep expertise in enterprise data management and analytics platform development.
• Track record of large-scale OT/IT transformation in 24/7 environments.
• Cloud, cybersecurity, and AI/ML expertise.
• Experience with utility systems (OMS, ADMS, SCADA, EAM, CIS) preferred.
• Built high-performing data, engineering, and AI product teams.
• Experience navigating regulated environments and regulatory stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise IT/OT, data platforms, AI product development, and cybersecurity.
• Define a multi-year digital and grid modernization roadmap aligned with regulatory priorities.
• Oversee hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructure and field communications networks.
• Champion AI across tools, data, and digital platforms.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, governance, and vendor management across technology programs.
