Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an Executive Director of Development for Yale New Haven Children's Hospital to lead fundraising for clinical care, research and education. This role will manage a team, set strategy for major gifts and capital campaigns, and engage donors, grateful patients and volunteers to advance pediatric health.

The ED will report to the VP of Principal and Planned Giving, participate in strategic planning, and partner with clinical leaders to maximize philanthropic impact

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. MBA, MHA or equivalent advanced degree is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years' experience in Development/Advancement/Philanthropy in healthcare or higher education.
• Experience leading/managing teams and capital campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive Development program for Children's Health philanthropy at YNHCH.
• Coach and inspire development staff to exceed goals.
• Identify donor prospects resulting in major gifts ($250K+) and principal gifts ($5M+).
• Manage the Children's Health pipeline and gift tables with cultivation strategies.
• Personally manage principal/planned giving donors and present proposals.
• Lead strategic planning and prospect management for capital opportunities.
• Serve as quarterback for donor activity and coordinate with leadership.
• Collaborate with academic and clinical partners to align with strategic goals.
