Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Director of Development, Planned Giving for Bridgeport Hospital. The role leads the foundation's planned giving programs, cultivating donors and coordinating with senior leadership to secure bequests, trusts, and other deferred gifts.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in fundraising with a track record in planned gifts or major gifts, preferably within healthcare or higher education nonprofits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in fundraising with success securing planned gifts and/or major gifts.
• Experience in healthcare or higher education nonprofits is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Bridgeport Hospital Foundation's planned giving strategies (bequests, trusts, retirement gifts, life insurance).
• Manage portfolio of principal/planned giving donors and move prospects through the donor cycle.
• Collaborate with VP and leadership to integrate planned giving into broader development efforts.
