Job summary

A+E Global Media seeks a VP, Customer Data Strategist to turn first-party audience data into a strategic asset. You will define identity resolution, supervise the Analytics Engineering team, and align Digital, Marketing, and New Business around data-driven decisions.

You will drive the development of a composable CDP, establish governance for data sources, and measure ROI across campaigns, with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and data privacy compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience leading and managing technical teams.
• At least 7 years of experience in customer data strategy, CDP/MarTech, or marketing analytics.
• At least 5 years of direct people management experience.
• Working knowledge of composable CDP platforms and identity resolution concepts.
• Experience with activation platforms (Iterable/Adobe) and data warehouses (Snowflake).

Responsibilities

• Define the strategic roadmap for a composable CDP and identity resolution capabilities.
• Design and activate Audience Customer Journeys to drive engagement and revenue.
• Oversee Analytics Engineering and build activation pipelines to downstream marketing tools.
• Partner with the data platform and agencies to connect owned signals with paid media performance.
• Embed first-party data into Digital, Marketing, and New Business strategy from the start.
• Define KPIs and ROI frameworks to prove first-party data investments.
• Apply AI/ML to identify opportunities from expanding first-party data.
• Maintain governance for data sources and onboarding into the CDP.
• Provide updates to Media Solutions on data infrastructure and identity resolution.
• Share success stories from first-party data-driven targeting.
