Job summary

Happy Money is seeking a Head of Credit & Fraud to own credit and fraud risk strategy for our lending business. You will lead the team, set policy, and partner with executives and capital partners.

Reporting to the Chief Risk & Analytics Officer, you will balance growth and losses, drive test-and-learn initiatives, and scale strategies across the customer lifecycle for a distributed remote workforce.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in financial services with 8+ years of credit risk experience, including direct ownership of consumer lending strategy.
• Strong executive presence with experience presenting data-driven decisions to C-suite executives, boards, and external partners.
• Deep understanding of consumer lending regulation, including fair lending, FCRA, and model risk management.

Responsibilities

• Own credit and fraud strategy across the customer lifecycle, from acquisition and underwriting through account management.
• Balance growth and losses to maximize risk-adjusted returns, and lead a disciplined test-and-learn agenda.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team, and partner across the organization to scale credit and fraud strategies.
