Job summary

Wise County Board of Supervisors is seeking a County Administrator to serve as chief administrative and operating officer, planning, directing and coordinating the County's operations. The role involves staffing, budgeting and advising the Board on governance and operations.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of public or business administration including financial and personnel management.
• Experience with leading and managing government and/or business operations preferred; knowledge of basic laws, ordinances, and regulations underlying local government and procurement state law.
• Strong oral and written communication; ability to analyze complex information and make detailed decisions; work independently and build relationships with strategic partners.

Responsibilities

• Advising and assisting the Board of Supervisors on operations and governance; planning, organizing and directing activities, services, programs and staff.
