Job summary

Qualifications

• 12–15 years of progressive leadership spanning content and publishing, professional learning, events, and member engagement.
• At least 5 years in a senior executive role with significant P&L responsibility.
• Experience growing revenue through events, publications, digital learning, and membership programs.
• Deep expertise in adult learning and competency-based design for educator growth.
• Familiarity with early childhood education; nonprofit/membership association experience preferred.
• Strategic, systems-level thinking to integrate a diverse portfolio into one cohesive member experience.
• Comfort with public speaking and presenting to partners and at convenings.
• Experience in a multi-product, collaborative environment with innovation mindset.
• Leadership that enables others to succeed and drives measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic vision for an integrated portfolio of Membership, Content & Publications, Professional Development, and Conferences & Events.
• Grow professional development into a significant revenue stream and learning ecosystem for educators and leaders.
• Lead the evolution of conference strategy to deepen engagement with the field.
• Oversee editorial vision and operations for publishing portfolio (books, journals, digital content).
• Provide strategic oversight of the membership function with a compelling value proposition.
• Serve on the Executive Team to align priorities with NAEYC's mission.
