Job summary

TAR is building the world’s first off-grid power plant for data centers, powered by renewable technologies. As VP of Commercial in Austin, you will originate, structure, and close multi-year capacity agreements with hyperscalers and AI compute buyers, owning the revenue and terms from inception to ramp.

You will design the pipeline, pricing framework, and contract standards, collaborating with finance, legal, and engineering to ensure TAR can deliver on commitments while maintaining margins.

Qualifications

• 7+ years originating and closing large 8-10 figure contracts with long sales cycles.
• Fluency in multi-year deal structuring including take-or-pay, exclusivity, pricing and credit terms.
• Experience building a commercial function from scratch with pipeline, processes, and first hires.
• Executive-level communication with C-level buyers, investors, and lenders.

Responsibilities

• Own origination with TAR's highest-value counterparties and build a pipeline aligned to TAR's capacity roadmap.
• Lead each deal end-to-end from initial meeting to signature.
• Structure multi-year commitments with take-or-pay, volumes, pricing, and credit terms.
• Develop pricing and deal economics framework with finance.
• Translate customer requirements into deliverables with development and engineering.
• Stand up the commercial operating system: CRM, deal reviews, templates, forecasting.
• Hire and lead the first commercial team and set selling standards.
• Accountable executive owner for customer relationships from signature through ramp.
